TVS Jupiter 125 CNG Concept: Jaw-Dropping 84 Km/Kg Mileage Under ₹1 Lakh!

The new TVS Jupiter 125 CNG is creating a lot of interest! Even though it’s just a preview right now (shown at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025), people are excited about its possible launch around October 2025. The idea of getting 84 kilometers per kilogram of CNG, along with safer brakes (CBS) and bright LED lights, all for possibly less than ₹1 lakh, is making many people eager for it to come out.

  • Launch Status: As of now, the TVS Jupiter 125 CNG has not been officially launched in India. It was showcased as a concept, and the expected launch is anticipated around October 2025.
  • Mileage: TVS claims a mileage of 84 km per kg of CNG. Additionally, with its dual fuel system (CNG and a 2-litre petrol tank), the scooter is expected to have a combined range of around 226 km.
  • Braking System: The concept model retains the braking system of the regular Jupiter 125, which includes the Combined Braking System (CBS) for enhanced safety.
  • LED Lights: The TVS Jupiter 125 CNG concept features an LED headlight.
  • Price: While the exact price is yet to be announced, the expected price range is between ₹ 90,000 to ₹ 1,00,000.

Key Features of the TVS Jupiter 125 CNG (Concept):

  • Engine: It will be powered by a 124.8cc single-cylinder engine that has been reworked to run on CNG, producing around 7.1 bhp of power and 9.4 Nm of torque.
  • Dual Fuel System: The scooter has a 1.4 kg capacity CNG tank located under the seat and a 2-litre petrol tank in the floorboard. A switch will allow riders to choose between fuel options.
  • Mileage: Claimed 84 km/kg of CNG.
  • Combined Range: Approximately 226 km (CNG + Petrol).
  • Top Speed: Expected to be around 80 kmph.
  • Brakes: Likely to feature CBS (Combined Braking System).
  • Lights: LED headlight.
  • Instrument Console: Expected to be a semi-digital unit with CNG indicator lights.
  • Fuel Filling: Petrol filling cap on the front apron and CNG nozzle under the seat.
  • Design: Visually similar to the regular Jupiter 125, with CNG badging.

Important Considerations:

  • Under-seat Storage: The placement of the CNG cylinder under the seat means there will be no under-seat storage, which is a significant difference from the standard Jupiter 125.
  • CNG Availability: The practicality of a CNG scooter will heavily depend on the availability of CNG refueling stations in your area.

The TVS Jupiter 125 CNG, if launched with the claimed specifications and price, could be a very economical option for daily commuting, especially with the rising petrol prices. It will be interesting to see the final production version and its features upon its official launch, which is expected later this year.
