Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Gets More Power, Better Brakes, Priced at ₹1.92 Lakh

Bajaj Auto today announced a big update to its main Pulsar NS400Z, adding more power and better brakes for an even more exciting ride. The tough-looking street bike is now priced at ₹1.92 lakh (showroom price), making it a strong choice in the 400cc group of bikes.

The 2025 version of the Pulsar NS400Z keeps the strong 373.27cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, but Bajaj engineers have made small changes to make it perform even better. While the exact power numbers haven’t been officially said in this update, people are saying it has a little more than the old 40 PS of top power and 35 Nm of top pull. This improvement should make it speed up faster and have more power at high speeds, whether you’re riding in the city or on open roads.

A key improvement in this update is the much better braking system. The new NS400Z now has a bigger 320mm front disc brake that moves a little, along with brake parts from Grimeca that are attached in a simple way. The back still has a 230mm disc. This better system, along with the standard two-channel ABS, should give much better stopping power and make riders feel more sure when they brake hard. How sensitive the ABS is will also change depending on the ride mode you pick.

Full of Features and Looks Good

The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z still has many features, making it one of the bikes with the most features in its class. These include:

  • All-LED Lights: A projector LED headlight with special ‘Z’ shaped LED daytime lights makes sure you can see well. The tail light and turn signals are also LED.
  • Digital Screen: A color LCD screen with a smaller black and white part shows a lot of information, like speed, engine speed, fuel level, trip counters, and more.
  • Bluetooth Connection: Riders can connect their phones for alerts about calls and texts, see their phone battery and signal, and get turn-by-turn directions on the smaller black and white part of the screen. You can also control your music.
  • Ride Modes: Four different ride modes – Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-Road – let riders change how the bike performs and how sensitive the ABS is for different situations.
  • Electronic Throttle: This system gives you very precise control over the engine and makes the different ride modes possible.
  • Traction Control: Better traction control gives you better grip and stability, and you can turn it off in Sport and Off-Road modes.
  • Easy Clutch: This feature makes changing gears smoother and stops the back wheel from locking up if you shift down gears too quickly.
  • USB Charging Port: A handy USB port lets riders charge their devices while riding.

The NS400Z still has its tough and strong street bike look, taking ideas from the Pulsar NS design. It has a shaped fuel tank with parts sticking out, separate seats, and sporty wheels made of a light metal. The bike comes in four color choices: shiny Racing Red, Brooklyn Black, Pewter Grey, and Pearl Metallic White.

Parts and How It’s Built

The motorcycle uses thick front forks that go upside down and a single shock absorber in the back. It has 17-inch light metal wheels with a 110-size front tire and a 140-size rear tire. The frame that goes around the engine, which is the same as the Dominar 400, helps the bike handle well. The NS400Z weighs 174 kg, the seat is 807mm high, and it has 168mm of space under the bike. The fuel tank holds 12 liters.

Price and Who It Competes With

Priced at ₹1.92 lakh (showroom price), the updated Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z still gives great value for the money in the 400cc class. It will compete with bikes like the TVS Apache RTR 310, KTM 200 Duke, Hero Xtreme 250R, and Suzuki Gixxer 250.

With its more power, better brakes, and many features, the 2025 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z wants to stay a strong and affordable high-performance motorcycle in the Indian market. You should be able to book it soon at Bajaj dealers across the country.
